Microsoft Advertising wanted to showcase the flexibility of their social capabilities and show brands how they could help them as an advertising partner. With a booth secured at the Cannes Lions International Festival for Creativity, they had a stage to do just that.

THE IDEA

Knowing festival goers would take to Twitter to talk about the festival, we created this experience to encourage them to add the #MSACannes for a chance to win big prizes (Xboxes, smartphones, TVs and more) in order to crown the King of the Twitterverse. Their planet would appear on the screen and then replies and retweets would help them grow and dominate, while inactivity would get them sucked into a black hole.
